Security Shield is a fake software and I'm writing this blog to alert all the users who believe this product as a genuine software. I've got it in my computer itself and It made me sweat but I've learned a lesson. I got this virus from a file sharing website and It infected my computer without my knowledge. I'm using AVG on my computer and this virus completely bypassed all the security I had on my computer.
One important thing though, I didn't had any sort of spyware protection on my computer that's why Security Shield virus found a hole in my computer to play with it.
This fake software popped up in my computer all of a sudden and I was not aware of exactly what happened. Before I could even touch my mouse, It started scanning my computer and I was shocked. I unplugged the network wire off my computer to make sure it is not downloading more malicious stuff to my computer. It shows me hundreds of fake infections sitting in my computer and I couldn't believe that my computer was the real home of viruses.
I started to find information on Internet using my other computer and found that security shield is a virus itself. I also found a web page outlining how to Remove Security Shield Virus
I followed the instructions shown on that page to get rid of this threat the automatic way because I'm not a computer geek and don't want to mess up with my computer's important files and all the other stuff which i don't know how to handle.
I download the software to Remove Security Shield and installed it. Restarted my computer in safe mode and then did a full scan of the computer. The software I download was Spyware Doctor from above link and I was prompted to purchase the license of the product for removal!
I again searched on Internet to make sure that Spyware Doctor is a legitimate software and thank god, most website are rating this software as No.1 spyware remover. I gladly bought this product and It removed all the infections in a jiffy! Whoosh........
Guys, beware, If you don't have the right spyware protection on your computer, go get it now. It is never late to make a wise decision If you really care about your computer's security. There are lots of scammers who are looking to infect your computer with security shield and lots of other similar rogue products which are completely junk.
